Guest stevenz Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (Thanks to Wysie @ XDA If your market is stuck on "Starting Download" or "Authorising payment" when trying to download apps if you've downgraded back to 2.1 after trying FroYo, then here's how to fix it. Step 1: Download any 2.1 ROM _other_ than the one you're already using Step 2: Nandroid backup your current 2.1 setup Step 3: Wipe, then flash the downloaded 2.1 ROM Step 4: Upon phone reboot, sign into Google - go into market and see if something will download, if so then... Step 5: Go back to recovery and restore the nandroid backup (will put you 100% back to how you were prior to Step 1 except the market will now work) Worked for me, try your luck! There's a separate fix over in the Nexus Dev forum to fix the protected apps not appearing in 2.2 issue too.
Guest Scott Ricketts Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Any way to do this without a backup? I got over-eager when I upgraded to Froyo and didn't take one.
Guest Scott Ricketts Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Nevermind, worked just fine without the backup.
Guest commodoor Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Is this the problem market being slow? i had this to not only with FroYo but also with Eclair. anyways For me it fixed itself after killing it with taskiller.
Guest Scott Ricketts Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 No, the theory on XDA is that your account gets flagged that you're on Froyo and it can't reconcile that with the os being Eclair.

Guest Scott Ricketts Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 qipe everything, flash to a diff rom (i used the stock rom from here), download an app, then flash everything again and i did the restore and it didn't work, started over and it worked perfect.
