Guest LarryQ Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Hi all, I have bought a new GPS on EBay (dumb huh) anyway it is running on Windows Ce 6.0 platform using IGO8 8.3.4.102680. Everything works fine but the TTS (text to speech) does not seem to be working. All of the Loq files appear to be there in the IGO8 file, specifically LoqEnglish 6.9dll that I would assume is the correct file for English TTS. However in the "Content" folder in the main IGO8 folder there is a zipped file called Voice_TTS-loq-ell-f2 and in this file it appears that all the data pertains to Greek TTS. Can anyone shed any light on whether this Voice_TTS file in "content" is the working file for TTS or do I have some other problem??Any ideas on why TTS is not working would be appreciated. cheers Larry

Guest urphonesux Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Simply copy the complete content inside the zip file to your \iGo8 folder and overwrite any files it asks you to. Then start up iGo8, go to Settings->Regional->Voice Language and select the TTS voice. If you did everything correctly, you should hear "Have a nice trip, drive carefully." http://www.4shared.com/file/aJhaQrQv/_2__iGO8_TTS_UK-US.html
