Guest Deerhunter48 Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Here at heise.de they write, Google said that the leaked FroyoROM is only a buggy pre-release version.
Guest NarutoDKz Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 I doens't understand German. But as far as I know the update came OVA (over-the-air) update for the nexus one. That would mean that it isn't a "Leaked" rom. There may be some bugs, but shouldn't be a pre-release version.

According to serval sources Google just wanted to deploy the OTA to some choosen Developers, and it that Update still is not final. As they served the update, somehow it was deployed to serval non-developers which then spread the Update. Quote from Heise.de (translated with google) [update] Google has now removed this file from the server, according to media reports, is it is a faulty pre-release version, which was intended only for developers. Tatsächlich berichten einige Anwender von Fehlern wie einer verkürzten Akkulaufzeit. In fact, some users report errors such as a shortened battery life. [/update] [/ Update] Official Tweet by AndroidDev's: Android 2.2 is being rolled out to a very limited test group. We expect a final build to be available for OTA updates shortly, stay tuned! Seems it really is / was a beta build

Guest NarutoDKz Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 It's still not a "Leaked" rom. But I read on wikipedia that if you enter a code you'll get the update on googles server.

Guest NarutoDKz Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) WTF?! This is a joke or what?! :D No. Use the internet. I found this on wikipedia "hidden function can be accessed by dialing *#*#2432546#*#* which will "check in" to Google's servers. This will force your Nexus One to search for patches and updates immediately." i also found similar results on other webpages. (can't remember the sites tho ) But google removed the update from their servers. -Naruto Edited May 26, 2010 by NarutoDKz
