downgrade radio

Is it safe to downgrade the radio from the new froyo radio to an older one using an update.zip with only the radio? I want to because im getting slower speeds with the new one . Im in richmond va

The radio id use is here 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2 (just the previous official radio )

NVM. Mods go ahead and lock this.

I just went ahead and baked a new modaco ROM with the older radio and then baked an update to froyo without the radio update.

Are you on AT&T or Tmo?

I got comparable speeds on TMo in town, and better reception on the new radio. Yeah, I can't do video, but to have better reception around BB&T or shockoe slip where there is a lot of reflection and you are down by the river is welcome in my book.
