Guest nico1375 Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Hello, my Desire is rooted with paul's guide and a stock rom. I put my phone into reovery (don't ask me why, I was thinking to something else) before realizing that I forgot to put the r3 modaco ROM on the SD card. So i have the phone with red triangle on my screen. Can I safely reboot? Should I take the battery out? Sorry for asking, i'm just wondering whether there is a risk of bricking...?

If you're connected to a pc, adb and fastboot both have reboot commands.
Guest nico1375 Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 currently not connected. no risk to connect to my pc and use adb?
Guest StuMcBill Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 currently not connected. no risk to connect to my pc and use adb? If you press vol-up and power a recovery menu should pop up, and has a reboot option.
Guest Normola Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 To be honest, as long as you don't push any files, I think you could do either. Connect usb or pull the battery. I'd go with adb or fastboot though. I always like to shutdown cleanly if I can.

Anyway, in between I pulled out the battery (sorry, I haven't been patient on this one  ) and it's ok. Now I guess i'll give a try on r3. My device was orange branded, and I used paul's guide to root and install a stock rom. I used a goldcard to do it. I just can't figure out whether i still need a goldcard to install the r3 with app2sd+ or no ?
