Guest MisterA Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) Hello, I'm new here, so I hope my question is not off topic... I have a HTC Desire and when I pair it over bluetooth with my carkit (a 'Parrot' device) after 20 seconds or so I get the following error on my phone: The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly When I press the button 'force quit', I need to re-enter my SIM pin number in order to be able to make/receive calls. But when I leave the bluetooth connection on, it crashes again. So the carkit is unusable for the moment (as is my bluetooth headset) Has anyone experienced similar problems? Also: how long does a (gracefull) shutdown of a Desire usually take? With my phone it takes about 45minute to an hour.... Is this normal? I haven't done a factory reset or a format of the SD card yet. Best regards, Jan Edited May 27, 2010 by MisterA
Guest sruon Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 a shutdown shouldn't take more than 60 seconds... I'd say your OS is bugged and you need to reinstall a ROM or something.
Guest afiorillo Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 The extra-long shutdown time can be sorted by entering flight mode just prior to shut down the Desire. However, you've definitely a radio issue: please consider flashing a ROM update.
Guest craigcrawford1988 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) I have this problem every now and then. The phone will seem to get stuck on shutting down. I just pull the battery when it does that  Edited May 27, 2010 by craigcrawford1988
Guest MisterA Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Well, I haven't rooted my phone, so I guess I can't just update my phone... Perhaps I'll wait until the 23th of June when it's rumored the froyo firmware will be released.
