This is god news, but I noticed that he had no signal so I assume that the radio doesn't work.

Anyway, I prefer if this got ported. Maybe we will see a rom dump soon

Many thanks to our French depelopers team (Vache & pphusson)

They managed to get redio working on Froyo

As Vache mentioned in his twitter account, Vache Twitter

"SMS/MMS too"

Cant wait for a release!!

Omai, what a progress!

Way to go guys!

EDIT: By the way, when the devs manage to get a port somewhat working with the resources they have, it might be a good time to step to Acer and say "hey, look what we managed to do with so little resources, give us some more to work with and your sales will skyrocket" XD.

EDIT2: Besides, openness is what it's all about nowadays.

I wonder why acer arent collaborating with the community, if they put their kernel as open source, we can all contribute to building a better kernel for our Liquids

well the devs can.. I have no experience with messing with the linux kernel

Well, being android based on linux kernel, as long as someone release software based on linux kernel, for what I can understand, they're OBLIGED by the GPL license terms to release any change they made to linux kernel, so when ACER releases "Liquid E" containing a custom kernel, if they don't publish the source, they will be violating license terms. If they want to release Liquid E, the kernel source must be released too.

Is there any chance to contact any of acer´s devs? Somethink like a non official providing of kernel source.. Does somebody have for ex. an email? It should be nice;)

Guest Auxx

I think we should write an open letter together to Acer. Maybe then looking at community results they will provide us with sources + build setup (the most important part, actually).

What is the progress malez?

Thanks

Resumé :

root access : ok

sim/baseband : ok

data connectivity : ok

sms : ok

netwok and google apps ok

call : send/receive ok (but no incoming or outgoing sound yet)

sound : via call speaker only

Still a lot ok work to do with phh and vache

I suppose the incoming/outcoming sound "bug" is because the sound is only coming trough the call speaker, or are they actually two different problems?
