Guest mauricepeterse Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 i have a acer liquid and after the superboot install, it would not boot again. the boothelper en fastboot work, bu my pc does not see the acer i would like to rebuild it via a flash os the extracted .img files (boot, system, userdata, recovery) with fastboot in a shell. where can i get the extracted files? and to solve the other issue, how can i get acer download helper to work if USBdeview only shows ACER fastboot interface online if connected and in fastboot mode? thx in advance Maurice
Guest Borkata Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Give more details about what version it was before you brake and what version you tried to brake
Guest mauricepeterse Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Give more details about what version it was before you brake and what version you tried to brake  i had the standard version on it 1.6 i presume ( update was from April 2010 via Android upgrade) i never got to the point where i could use an image. i followed this: http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/16/how-to-ro...he-acer-liquid/ and after this part :IV. Install Superboot and Custom Recovery Image 1. Download Superboot2.zip Superboot2.zip 2. Unzip the superboot.zip file. 3. Double click on the reboot-bootloader-windows.bat file and wait for the phone to boot into bootloader mode. it never booted again well, it boots but after the android logo the screen gets dark but u can see that it's on ( when i look at the screen in the dark, all edges are slighty different, colorwise) and every button on the front returns a vibrate.. thats it i can get into the bootloader menu and the fastboot also works, but no starting android yet.... Guest nameless' Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Try booting in Bootloader (Camera + <), and install malez recovery from here : http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/ If you already have it, do it once again. Reboot in recovery, and acer tool should recognize the phone. Otherwise, check here : http://android.modaco.com/content/ac...liquid-heeelp/ Hope it'll help you..!

Guest malez Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 You have flashed this bin file , right ? ACER_LiquidE_0.004.01_EMEA_GEN1_..bin Its an old boot file and it looks like the superboot you have used was not built for this. Confirm me the exact name of the bin file you have use, so i can provide you a matchning boot image

Guest gamero_m Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 it happened the same to me, after install wrong superboot.img, but after calm down a little bit, i searched in this forum and i found this from malez: try: 1. Pull battery in and usb cable to phone and pc Press in order and without releasing 1. < (back button) 2. Camera 3. (power) not always necessary Bootloader should appear. If that doesn't work unplug usb and unplugg battery and retry. If this still does not work you can also try this 1. turn off your phone (and unplug usb if plugged) 2. press camera + volume up and then without releasing this two buttons hit power and the phone will vibrate two times. Release all buttons. 3. take the battery out and put it back (don't touch any button on the phone) 4. connect the usb to your computer and you will the acer logo and then bootloader will pop up. Here you can reflash a correct boot.img and system.img. If you don't have one, I can give you. the firts one works for me, the pc finally reconized my liquid and i was able to reflash, so i hope this work and an advice, if ur not sure how to proced with flashing and rooting, well search in the forum there are tutorials , good luck and let us knows if this works ciao

Guest scrap2434 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Had the same issue... I booted into recovery, had my liquid plugged into my pc (windows 7). Then I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled..... The drivers to get it recognised are the "port" drivers under device manager.
Guest mauricepeterse Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 well.... i tried it on another PC (xp) when i plugged in the acer and i activated the camera+< the pc recognised something (?) and after a while i got "your hardware is readyto use" the only new thing in the devices, was the ADB Interface ->ACER Fastboot Interface. (maybe because i can't boot the acer anymore, so can't boot it in USB normal mode any more?) in the PORTS section, i only see comm port (com1), ECP port (lpt1) and several toshiba ports... no acer any ideas? i really appreciate the help!! just hope we'll find THE solution

Guest gdfath3r Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 I would ask somebody more knowledgeable to help me. My issue: phone cannot be seen as a device, either on PC or Mac, also it is really warm on back/bottomside. Also, the battery it is really quick drained...the full charge is discharged in about 3 hours. I have 1.001.05_AAP_CSL build with 2.6.29 kernel and 1.6 firmware. Itself the phone is working correctly. I suspect that there is a software problem which could affect power management, also USB controller. The phone is rooted, but no special bootloader. Any ideas?
Guest gwilo Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 When using Windows 7 always run any program or operation as ADM when working on your phone. Right click the program and Run as Adm.
Guest ikirt Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 I love to see how helpful everyone is here

Right click the program and Run as Adm. I see that you did not find the point. My phone is not seen by the PC nor Mac. Mac does not need any drivers, so the problem coming from phone itself. The phone working just fine, but it has something which causes usb and power management malfunction.

Guest gwilo Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Check your USB cable. The only one that works with my phone is the one from Acer.
