Is it possible? - Changing 1.7 Vanilla unlock screen to 2.1 (BoBo and Paul) unlock screen

I'm running 1.7 Vanilla and I'd like to know if this is possible. I tried 2.1 but it's just to buggy for me and I get constant reboots. I like everything about 1.7 Vanilla except the unlock screen. The 2.1's screen is nicer. I like the option to turn the sound off or on without unlocking and appearance. So I'm only interested in replacing the unlock screen with 2.1's screen. I've tried apps but they are too slow. Thanks in advance!

Well I guess apps re the only solution. Try LockBot Pro, it has all the lock screen (X10, Hero, Flan, Éclair) and you can customize everything. But give 2.1 another try, it's really stable if you get the right combination :rolleyes: Cheers!

Which one is the best for now? I wont be using a2sd for now cause i often have to mount my sd card on my pc and I just don't want to deal with it. I don't use a lot of apps. I use browser, im+, facebook, gmail, youtube, documents to go and sometimes google maps. I have three puzzle games just for my GF. And thats about it.

I need it to be stable and as fast as it can be.

Like I said, try lockbot pro, it's visually the best looking one, and I had no stability issues with it. The are others, like Lock 2.0 and so on, but if you ask me lockbot is the best. You should go with apps2sd on another note, there are no problems with it, especially on the 1.7 MCR, just saying:D Cheers!

Well if you want a lite rom, try the stripped down one that's floating around:

It has more space than all the others at the moment and you can install the apps you want without any worries about free space. If you don't partition the SD card apps2sd i disabled by default. Cheers!
