Hi

Does it include Portuguese Language?

Regards

Does this ROM have that annoying issue I mentioned in this thread? The first person to say "no" will make me flash this on top of the Swiss mod (which I'm using) :(

hmm, i dont think so...

but i had the U8220 r7 Rom from paul

did you have root?

long time ago i had the same error, probably this come from the arch. in vanilla (it has an other structure) or you have no root.

Seems most if not all of the TMN A'1s are having problems with AmonRa's Recovery (recovery-RA-pulse-v1.5.2.img).

Boot in Recovery mode (menu+red+power) gives these messages

E:can´t find MISC:

E:can´t mount CACHE:recovery/comand

E:can´t find MISC:

E:Can´t mount CACHE: recovery/log

E:Can´t open CACHE: recovery/log

E:Can´t find MISC:

I have Superboot installed and have root when using the phone normally (in better terminal too)

This is a root problem, the kernel loads now diffrent. you cant go direct form the bootloader into recovery, because you havent any rootrights.

start the phone download quickboot and then get from there in recovery.

I have the same problem.

I rooted 1.5 and installed the original rom (2.1 swiss) from huawei.

I rooted 2.1 and cannot install any other rom or go back to 1.5.

Is there a way to solve this so that i can install other roms?

Using Quickboot gives me the same result.

I think tonight I'm going to start from scratch ie.

Swiss Sunrise 2.1 ROM

Superboot

AmonRa

Hectics RBM-Eclair.fin ROM

etc... and we'll see how it goes :(

Whats the trick? :(

I saw that info today, but don't remember the thread. I think that there's a language selection on 1st boot.

Yeah..but when A1 booted it was in german.

Changed language to one of 3 availlable.

German

French

English...

Choice...was obvious :(

obvious?

this Version is from swiss and they speak german, french and english :(

i didnt find any portugese packs.

good news are we have now the same kernel like the pulse. that means all pulse 2.1 Roms works on 8230 without problems.

Good news after all. Not so clear the deduction (more what's behind it) but the important part is that roms are swappable. Is this assumption correct even for A1, which seems to have slight different hardware configuration?

Forgive me if I'm questioning about stupid/elementary subjects, but Android is a complete new world. BTW: is there a good place ( besides google search and millions of results) were we can learn about Android Rom structure?
