Guest -Wii- Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 U searched the market for Google Voice Search? isn't it only available in america? I would find it really useful for sat nav anyone know how to hack it? its not going to be hard surely paul had it on his rom?
Guest goce.nakov Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 U searched the market for Google Voice Search? There is no "google voice search on the market"
Guest rimmer74 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 When I had the beta ROM installed most of my FC's came from Voice Search playing up... I wonder if they have taken it out because of this reason.

Guest McSpoon Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) There is no "google voice search on the market" Maybe that's because the firmware update has test-keys instead of release-keys? When your device connects to the Android Market it must identify itself by providing it's ro.build.fingerprint, which on the T-Mobile Hungary 2.1 update is: ro.build.fingerprint=T-Mobile/U8220/U8220/U8220:2.1-update1/ERE27/eng.huawei.20100419.103709:user/test-keys The Android Market would refuse to offer 'protected apps' to such a device. We could change that fingerprint to something else (steal an officially registered identifier from a different Android handset). :( Edited May 28, 2010 by McSpoon
Guest -Wii- Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Tried voice search 1.5 too also FC every time
Guest rimmer74 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Found an APK on the internet, downloaded it, guess what FC every time Looks like that might be what was causing the trouble with the beta maybe?
Guest -Wii- Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Looks like that might be what was causing the trouble with the beta maybe? Maybe but it was working on the beta, its not working on this at all
Guest DarrellK Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 isn't it only available in america? I would find it really useful for sat nav anyone know how to hack it? its not going to be hard surely paul had it on his rom? According to the beta-based ROM release notes, it was enabled by Paul.

Guest -Wii- Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 After all I was wondering, how can we get speech-to-text function? :( The problem I am having is that I am selecting voice search and saying "call Joe Blogs" and it brings up Joe Bloggs it then says he has no number? but he does in contacts? any clues? Using navigate command works
Guest DanWilson Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Maybe that's because the firmware update has test-keys instead of release-keys? Is T-Mobile trying to endorse pirating (DUNDUNDUN!!) :(
