Guest DarrellK Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I'm now running the "vanillaish" beta ROM on top of today's T-Mobile Hungary update. It's not perfect (one FC and a couple of 2-3 second freezes in the last 2 hours, but no reboots :( I did this by applying the Hungarian update, installing the custom recovery image (see sticky post), booting into recovery (menu/red/power), wiping, and flashing the vanillaish rom. Everything works, including vibration. This will do me until those who really know what they are doing can create a proper MCR vanilla with root and A2SD, which I am sure will come.
Guest DarrellK Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I meant to say that I've really caned it, running wifi, 3g, bluetooth and gps at the same time, voice searching, navigating with the satellite layer and street view... nothing bad happened.
Guest Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 The vanilla rom should be released within a week or so, I'd rather wait for that.

A perfectly valid preference. but remember, that unlike the phone company updata.app flashes, flashing a ROM is entirely reversible (as long as you've backed up first!)
