Guest -Wii- Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 on the web, proclaims it to be the best messaging application and I have blindly used it since pretty much day one. But do you know what! Its really slow!!!! is it just me or can it take up to 2 seconds from pressing new message to a blank text coming up and when selecting to read old texts? Has anyone had this problem what do you use?
Guest Willz Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I tried Chomp SMS, but I never really got along with it. I prefer Handcent SMS.

I just had a thought, I have used Facebook Sync to get a photo of all my contacts this shows up no matter what messaging ap I use, including stock, could this be the fundamental reason why my SMS and Contacts are running so slow?
Guest alpha232 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I use websms to send them and the built in one to read them. I send texts via fishtext which costs 2p per text.

The best combo I have found is using Handcent, but using Sms Popup for the pop up notification as it it has a much bigger photo of your contact (didn't like the tiny pic when using handcents pop up) Edited May 31, 2010 by chris9181
