Guest Shange Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Is it possible to disable or remove the "hold" button during a phone call? Its very annoying when my ear touches the hold button during a call. Its hard to notice until other part has end the call.
Guest MrVanes Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 The proximity sensor should turn off the screen and thus disable the hold button as far as I understand it. I never had it accidentally activated anyway. What happens if you hold your thumb over the sensor (top right beside the speaker)? Does the screen blank? It should (during a call, at least).
Guest Quipeace Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 You can also try to increase the sensor's sensitivity: settings-call settings-advanced settings-Set P-sensor sensitivity
Guest Shange Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Thanks both for your help. My sensor works but was set to low. I've changed it to high, hope it helps.
Guest Seth Cold Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 it still happens when set on high... i hate when that happens, im holding the calls with my cheekbones
Guest MrVanes Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Did you actually check if the sensor works? Blocking it with your thumb during a (fake) call should blank the screen, even at low sensitivity. If it doesn't I assume your proximity sensor is borked...
Guest Seth Cold Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 no, its working ok... but happens from time to time
Guest Shreedhan Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 no, its working ok... but happens from time to time I've had it happen too but putting p-sensor to high seems to have fixed it. It was on medium before.
Guest drigerott Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 hold your phone to the left ^^ when i use it to right sensor is not covered hihihi instead to left is perfetc ^^ like this i never touch hold again ^^
Guest finalmoksha Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) I have this issue too. I keep switching my phone from ear to ear during a call and therefore face a lot of problems with clients demanding why i'm putting thm on hold without informing :). Switched to a bluetooth handsfree. Wish someone would do something abt it. The phone app on the B70 stream ROM is awesome but i prefer the speed and stability of the liquid B70 ROM. Guest drigerott Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 just switch interface...and you will have the speed and stability of stock eclair...
Guest finalmoksha Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 just switch interface...and you will have the speed and stability of stock eclair... How do I do that in your ROM? sorry for being such a noob..
Guest bais Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Go to Settings, Applications, User Interface and choose Android UI.
Guest Mr.r9 Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 I also hate this. I'd like to add something too. Can we (the developers actually) add the feature 'Vibrate when answered' ? I had this in my HTC Magic in the ANdroid 1.5 days so it's kind of depressing not to have it now.
Guest Shange Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 You can also try to increase the sensor's sensitivity: settings-call settings-advanced settings-Set P-sensor sensitivity Strange, i change from LCR 1,6 to LCR1,7,2 and this "Advanced setting" disapered. Can anyone confirm that this is not available in LCR1,7,2?
Guest Rajit Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 regarding this issue in lcr, there already has been a discussion about this.. check it out here
Guest DamnHoldButton Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I have found a solution: http://androidapplications.com/38659-tedds-droid-tools-beta Great! Finally this bloody issue has been solved!
