Guest zyonbv Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 which rom did you use? your phone working? or not My Phone is working and I use WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20271 (Build 20271.1.3.2) You have a different phone. They just look the same but they have different hardware and quite possibly, different ROMs. I tried with custom ROM for i908 and for i900 simple. Underneath the battery is saying that is i900!
Guest zyonbv Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Use GrandPrix. how? I can't find files for it.
Guest Billus Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 how? I can't find files for it. I've attached the files for you. How to use: 1) First open Executor to dissemble the rom (which is the .exe file) 2) Open GrandPrix to add the seperate ROM bits and pieces 3) Connect phone to computer and select "Detect" in GrandPrix 4) Turn on your phone and use a pin to restart the phone if it is not detected on first attempt Make sure you have Active Sync or Mobile Device Center disabled (Mobile Device Settings -> Connection Settings -> Disable"Allow USB Connections") Windows Vista and 7 should automatically find the Omnia driver on its own. No need to go in search of one.USDL_GrandPrix_v1.6.4_VISTA.exei900_EXEcutor.exe

For now I can't use the desktop computer and I downloaded Grandprix for XP to use it on laptop. After I have done dissemble the ROM I have 4 files: eboot.nb0, pda.bin, report.txt and userdownloader.exe . First two files are enough?

You just need eboot and pda, GrandPrix will detect them when it is time to add it. Never flash the phone part unless you want a useless brick.

DOesn't stop on Samsung Omnia Image! Bootloader mode!!! Turn the sound up on your computer. When you turn on your phone, you'll here the connecting tune. If it is unsuccessful, you'll here the de-dum where the phone disconnects. Use a pin to restart your phone when this happens. You'll have to do this a few times till it finally connects, especially when you first attempt it since it has to install the necessary drivers. Just make sure you have GrandPrix set to detect the phone. Edit: It is actually better to just use a bent paper clip. Restart button is located on top of the phone next to the power button. When downloading Eboot image it is freezing, same thing in Grandprix!!! EBoot version=00.ZH Edited June 1, 2010 by zyonbv
Guest Billus Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 When downloading Eboot image it is freezing, same thing in Grandprix!!! EBoot version=00.ZH Hmm, try downloading an alternative ROM or an official rom of Samsung's website (http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp) and do the same thing with GrandPrix.
Guest zyonbv Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 On Samsung's website is asking me for Omnia Version which on my device is not written.
Guest Billus Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 On Samsung's website is asking me for Omnia Version which on my device is not written. Download it from here instead: http://www.4shared.com/file/223008263/80bd...3534-DXIA5.html
Guest Billus Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I'm quickly running out of ideas, sorry. Try doing a hard reset then flash the phone. 1) Reset the phone using a paperclip 2) Immediately press and hold the call and cancel button until the format screen appears 3) Hit the call button to format Try leaving your phone for 10 minutes or so, it can sometimes take a little while till it decides to download itself.
Guest zyonbv Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I tried with hard reset! I will leave the phone 10 minutes. But I don't think it will work.
Guest Jotalv Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I'm trying to update but it gets stuck at 16% of the process... 30 minutes pass already :(
Guest Billus Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I think I will smash it. Haha Umm, yea, all I can recommend is just try and flash the official rom and wait...but if that isn't working, I dunno what else will...
Guest blalive Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Try to update with ROM on this page. Edited June 2, 2010 by blalive
Guest zyonbv Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) @Billus -- Thanks for your help. @blalive -- The Rom you told me about is not working. For me Samsung Omnia is the worst Phone ever and Original WM! :( Edited June 3, 2010 by zyonbv
Guest frankscy Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) Hmm, try downloading an alternative ROM or an official rom of Samsung's website (http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp) and do the same thing with GrandPrix. All Omnia users here is my post to help you fix your "ROM FLASHES FREEZING AT 0%". This fix is working completely for "00.ZH" or similar problems, and once it is done you can FLASH ANY ROM afterwards. I wish you all luck :) Important Bootimage_ZH i908ZHIB1 Phone_i908ZHIB1 Executor3.0 GrandPrix XP or Vista Battery fully charged How to use: Open GrandPrix and select "Bootimage_ZH (attached) " and select the rest of the essential files (pda -> phone -> csc). You can use "Executor3.0" to dissemble any rom (which is the .exe file) ** I was successful with "i908ZHIB1" as my pda part & "Phone_i908ZHIB1" as my phone part. ** Do a search for ZHIB1 if you do not have the above 3 files (in bold) ** I cannot upload all on here as the upload file size limited. Now, connect the phone to your computer, "Detect" in GrandPrix, turn on your Omnia or use a pin to restart the phone if it is not detected on the first attempt Mine downloaded to 100% but was not completely finished, however, let it go for about 5 mins more and then restart your phone. You should able to RE-Boot-in to Windows Mobile. Now you can "Flash" any ROM you like. ** because it passed through "00.ZH" problem so open Executor to dissemble any other ROM (which is the .exe file) then repeat the same steps outlined belows. GrandPrix -> select boot image, pda, phone & CSC if is there -> Detect -> turn on Omnia and, it will finish itself completely about 2-4mins. I flashed "ock_Manila_Classic_23118" is also fix my "Align Screen / Keyboard out of slip" and "network setting problems", all working fine on my :) English "ock_Manila_Classic_23118" is new, fast, stable & easy to use, fixed all my Omnia problems. Good luck man :) Keep your Omnia, don't smash it, you can give it to me, no waste it, haha... :)Bootimage_ZH.rar Edited June 6, 2010 by frankscy
