Problem with unlocking certification

Hi!

I'm from Germany and have bought a SPV from Paul. I changed the regional settings to german and Germany. Now I've tried to unlock the SPV for application development and followed Paul's guide.

Now I have a problem. When I put the phone back in it's craddle and copy the two files and wait a while to enter the pin code. After I entered the pin code the SPV powers off and starts again. Then everything is in german and the unlocking has failed.

Why does the SPV power off and start again in german ?

Can somebody please help me ?

After the erase IPSM this part it will be in English default,

but activesync and outlook will change the settings back to

German just after connection.

This happened to the UK users who installed the DK update.

After resetting the default was in Danish (due to ROM update)but after being plugged in to

Activsync it changed it back to English.

That should not stop you from decetifiyin gthe phone though.

Have you tried unlocking without using the Pin code method of

restarting?

I have not heard of the phone switching off and resetting during this process before. :?:

Hi awarner !

First, thanks for your help. Now I've find the mistake. After erasing the IPSM, when the SPV starts with settings out of the box, it has only changed the regional settings and not the language. Before I turn off the SPV to erase the IPSM , I have to change the language in the regional settings.

Now I've changed the language and started over again.

Everything works fine.

ha, thats simple - where you able to switch it back to german after decertification? Is it still decertified then? Thank you, awarner, great tip!!!
