AmonRA can't mount CACHE etc

hello,

I already searched around the forums for similar problems but I did not find a working solution, so I'm posting here:

I followed the

Pulse 2.1: RMB thread and everything worked fine.

The troubles started when trying to flash amon RA. The flashing went fine and I was able to boot into amonRA.

But I cannot do much there since I always receive:

Can't find MISC

Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command

Can't find MISC

Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log

etc...

I tried flashing several boot.img (using update_split.pl on the UPDATE.APP) and I also baked a Modaco Custom ROM and flashed that boot.img

But I'm not able to get a working AmonRA.

Thank you very much in advance!

I have the same problem.

However, my power button does not work well anymore, at least it's not always responding, and I think that's the reason I cannot go into recovery mode anymore. I can load RA it via fastboot, but keeps telling me the cache error message up there, and trying to install a custom ROM fails with "format CACHE failed" or something like that.

I had an FLB rom, but I thought power button became buggy because of it, and after doing a huh... can't remember its name, when everything goes back to the original state without applications, the phone did not start (kept rebooting). So I reinstalled T-Mo hun 2.1 + patch via fastboot (RA did not work by then either), and I'm stuck at this.

adb reboot recovery does not work - tells me it's waiting for device. The 64bit win7 driver makes adb interface show up with a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, yet fastboot works.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

booting the recovery via dos doesn't work in 2.1, only option i know of is to flash it and turn it on as above

I just found this Clockworkmod recovery here.

In Advanced menu, I could find "Reboot Recovery" - Now it's passed beyond "Formatting CACHE" !

It's always like this, I try everything for hours without success, right after posting a desperate "please help", I get it. Next time I'll ask first, and chances are I'll find the solution faster...

Now it's rebooting, but I think it'll be okay. Thanks for your time :)

edit: I booted it first via fastboot boot <clockworkmod-filename>

Clockwork is awesome. And if you install the ROMManager application from the market then you can flash the recovery from inside Android and do most of the recovery options there as well.
