But im sure we'll get it eventually :)

Guest Stevos Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 The front camera hardware definitely works for video and stills, as the builit in camera app supports it (in the 2.1 ROMs, just press meu and select secondary camera. In 1.5 it may be hidden in a menu somewhere, but definitely works.) I don't know if android supports multiple cameras through a standard system, or if it's custom to each phone. Either way it should be a simple fix for fring if it's reported as a bug. They may need multiple code paths to support switching cameras on different devices, but as of now, there can't be that many around with front cameras anyway. I haven't used fring yet though...
