Guest mgroover Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 I've got a Jabra Clipper headset which has both phone audio and phone media connectivity. Been having some issue back and forth with the headset with the 2.1 ROMs out there (have in all honesty not tested it with 1.6 yet). Problem is: 004->010, the media audio stutters after being in a call or being idle not playing any phone media audio for a while. Only resolution is disabling BT and then restarting the headset. (same issue with my girlfriends SE headset). The phone sometimes rebooted when using BT during calls. Stability got better and better up to 010 ROM. Now running the 1.100.05 ROM and it seems like: 1. the bluetooth radio transmission strength has been lowered 2. the stability of the BT media stream has become worse Just by putting the phone in my pocket the audio starts to stutter. Any idea on how I can solve this? Tried the plain vanilla 1.100.05 ROM with the same results, the headset works just fine on SE/Nokia/iPhone + an ordinary laptop for BT A2DP.
Guest bluesky5889 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I am using Sony Ericsson DS 205 before and MW 600 now. DS 205 is not working properly with the 1.6 ROM. It just can't receive calls during listening music, or can't continue playing music after hand up a call. It's disappointing and I thought Sony Ericsson is not so compatible with A1. At last I updated the 2.1 ROM(since 0806, a very early one), it's working perfectly. So is the MW 600. So I think incompatible is just because the Bluetooth version of 1.6 ROM is Bluetooth 2.0 but not 2.1. But DS 205 is using 2.1 version protocol. Just share the experience with you. It may not help! :(
Guest Quipeace Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) I've been using the SE HBH-is800 with both 1.6 and 2.1. I never had any of the problems you seem to have, I can start a song in idle mode just fine, same after calls. Edit: I can stop the stream by covering the phone back with my hand, don't know if that was the case on 1.6 though. Edited May 31, 2010 by Quipeace
Guest mgroover Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Edit: I can stop the stream by covering the phone back with my hand, don't know if that was the case on 1.6 though. Seems to be one of the issues with the new ROM so it does seem like the BT radio strength has been turned down. Anyway of tweaking it? As it is now I can't be more than 1.5 to 2 m's away from the phone without it having buffering problems.
