Guest khtse Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I have a A8183 (Telstra) Desire with MCR r3.1, with A2SD enabled. For some reason everytime I run "Nand + ext backup" it would give me the message in the middle of the process "Error: Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!" I tried both the files contained in the r5 rooting guide here, and the AM Desire recovery 1.1 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689778 and both gave me the same error message when using nandroid. A2SD seems to work fine and I have no problem flashing roms onto my Desire, anyone know what is causing this error?
Guest snear Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Try pauls recovery & nandroid back up no + ext, I have same problem . Pauls recovery with just nandroid(no ext) back up seems to work

Guest folgui Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) But with A2SD installed, not backing up ext renders the backup useless Hi! A workaround until "nandroid+ext" fix is to use software like Titanium Backup, so you backup all your apps installed in extX partition to SD, then do a normal nandroid backup. When you restore the nandroid backup, then apply the titanium restore and it should be ok. It takes a bit longer but it works. Regards, folgui. Edited May 31, 2010 by folgui
Guest snear Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks that's what I thought. Use am recovery to wipe ext :(
