Guest persko Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Google Earth is a nice application; but it is not available on market, you need to go to a special webside: http://m.google.com/earth But then I get the message, that my phone is not supported, and going to the web site: http://www.google.com/mobile/earth/ I find out that only Nexus one, the Motorola Droid, and the iphone is supported. Just wondering why Google does not support the Desire, it is almost the same as the Nexus one. Hmm. Well as a solution, I found that the .apk file can be downloaded from here: http://sites.google.com/site/droidlife10/h...oogle_earth.apk, I got it, installed it, and it is working file, I just do not understand, why Google does not support all Android 2.1 or higher phones, and then just drop the iphone.
Guest BlackLine7 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks for the apk m8. Working very well on my HTC Desire.
Guest StrongOneX Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Just wondering why Google does not support the Desire, it is almost the same as the Nexus one. Hmm. Google haven't made a "fingerprint" for the Desire (yet) A fingerprint tells the market what phone you're using and what kinda hardware. If there isn't a fingerprint, the market doesn't know what kinda cell phone you are using and therefore not displaying some of the advanced apps like google earth. Don't quote me on this!
Guest DigitalC Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Many thanks for the .apk Throwing it into my dropbox now :(
