I've given up on Sense/Rosie completely, and am running VanillaRom 3.0 "Sugar". The only things I miss from sense are the phone/people apps, the increased speed/performance (With and without o/c) are fantastic, and you get to use launchers like launcherpro
Guest RoskaL Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 what are launchers? iv seen them everywhere like launcher2 but not a clue what they are
Guest KDR1245 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I've used it, it's pretty awesome but had some bugs for me.. I couldn't edit any of my contacts, whenever I tried to do it, the editor stopped working and I had to 'force close' it. Other than that, it's pretty awesome. But I'd much rather have a 2.1 ROM made by modaco. I've been waiting for months.
Guest KDR1245 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 oh, and another bug was when I put the phone on standby and try to use it again, it didn't turn on.. so I had to press the standby button a few times more until it came on.. that's why I returned to my 3.2 modaco custom rom :(
Guest RoskaL Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 fml! just wiped everything on my phone ready to flash and accidently wiped my sd card with all my backups! !!!!
Guest JamesKing Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 fml! just wiped everything on my phone ready to flash and accidently wiped my sd card with all my backups! !!!! I also did this the other day. Very annoying, isn't it?

Guest catterick Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I've tried pretty much every 2.1 rom available on xda, and whilst each of them has something to offer, none of them close to the rigid stability of MCR. Can't wait till the official 2.1 comes out and Paul can work his magic!

Guest Takorou Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 if you want a really fast Rom you should use CronosDroid 1.4.1 hard OC to 710 MHz ofc you need a Hero which can handle 710 MHz on Boot =) but it's by faar the most stable and fast 2.1 Rom i've used. Any Other Rom starts lagging after a day or two but this one is just blazing fast!
Guest trstn Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I can't go vanilla, I miss the HTC People app way too much - make sure you don't actively use any of the HTC/Rosie apps before you dump it :(

Guest Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 yhe but does it look like sensehero? i overclocked my kernel and runs blazing fast and looks great Not bothered about the SH appearance, Cronos seems the better ROM aside from the woeful battery life. How long are you getting with SH? That could decide it for me.
Guest byakkotai Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Do I need to partition my SD card for this ROM in the same way I do for MCR? Also, as an Orange UK user, are there many things I would need to change upon first installing this ROM? many thanks Edited June 2, 2010 by byakkotai

Also, as an Orange UK user, are there many things I would need to change upon first installing this ROM? many thanks if u have mcr installed wipe everything so dat, dalvik, ext partition battery stats and rotation, then install the rom, then reinstall the the latest radio, i had to reinstall the oc kernel but only because it kept messing me around after reinstalling the rom 3 times lol and if u want friend stream on it install that and your good to go then i would say download "overclock widget" and get overclocking =]
