Guest Emperork Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I currently have a rooted phone, but when Froyo is launched, I rather fancy having a 'clean' stock Froyo on an unrooted device. My question: Is it at all possible (using just a desire, win7 and a USB cable :( ) to remove normally 'uninstallable' apps (like footprints and news) from a stock unrooted Desire? I'm well aware of custom roms, online kitchen, extra options by rooting etc, but I just sort of prefer having a clean official rom........ that has been modified lol! Thanks in advance folks!
Guest Ale Baba Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) Yes. By applying a stock ROM and wiping you'll get a completely clean device. Clean also means: No contacts, no apps, no nothing. And no, most likely you will only get a rooted ROM here. Edited May 31, 2010 by Ale Baba
Guest Emperork Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 When you say clean, do you mean I have a choice of wiping all apps or no apps? I can't pick and choose? Note I'm only talking about unrooted normal ROM here. Ty again.
