Guest urom Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Hello dear Pulsars :-), as now with 2.1 app2sd is possible, is it usefull to 1. buy a "fast" SD-card for faster program-loading 2. use a swap partition with the current MCR (2.1 r7) I have installed 2.1 from paul and it works fine. The only issue ist the voicesearch and acore "errors" My idea was, that they are related to slow access times on the SD-Card. can this be true? I am so far very pleased. Thank you Paul regards Uli

Thank you Paul regards Uli I have used both the stock 2gb that came with the pulse and a 4gb microsd card and I cant really tell the difference in speed, if you choose to use the feature A2SD then you cant have a swap partition or the a2sd partition wont mount, the problem with voicesearch and acore errors are down to the applications themselves, I have been running my custom rom since official release of 2.1 and I only had the voice search problem once and that was on first setup Its not a problem with the sd card as those 2 programs are installed on the internal memory (system partition) Edited May 31, 2010 by Richard_Arkless
