Guest Spooke Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 That looks really good :(, not too keen on the blurred android at the bottom, I think it would look better if it moved or just glowed?

Guest Rem1x Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Nice work :( how do you compile the image to show the animation ? Dan Oh, I just saved it as a gif in photoshop. Save For Web>Gif Getting all the frames to save on their own was the hard part!

Guest eckengucker1 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Just saw it live... Damn looks awesome! Best bootscreen I've ever seen!

Guest eckengucker1 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Just saw it live... Damn looks awesome! Best bootscreen I've ever seen! D'you have the these errors with stock bootscreen too?
Guest Willz Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 That's gorgeous. Any chance of a blue one? Since I'm on o2, haha.
Guest gyusza Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 D'you have the these errors with stock bootscreen too? no i dont.... i will try another reboot and see what happens... if it stays im going to restore it and try to install it again :( i'll report back
Guest Rizzly Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I agree with everyone else, this is just plain gorgeous! Perhaps a version that says u8220 might be in it's place though, considering were quite a few who don't have the t-mobile version :(.
Guest Daniel Williamson Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 It may be becuase the available memory on the pulse was reduced with the Hungarian update >? Dan
Guest eckengucker1 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 The boot animation isn't 20mb large :(
Guest gyusza Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 rebooted, same again except i noticed that it takes a lot longer to boot, and it shows the lockscreen as well for a few seconds if i unlock it quickly it goes to my homescreen, i get fcs for my widgets and it hangs with "system not responding" error. i hit wait, and after a few minutes it sorts itself out. if i dont unlock is quickly it just goes back to your beautifull bootscreen :( is this the weirdest error or what? :(
Guest Stevos Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) Looks great :( I had a look at the original bootanimation.zip, and it seems that it's incredibly wasteful. I removed a load of the apparently unnecessary frames and cut the size from 260Kb down to 37Kb. It seems to work pretty much the same as the original version (attached, use at own risk etc blah blah) I know it's only 220Kb saved, but it's 86% and if there's anything else like that knocking around we could make some serious space savings. Might be worth putting a cut down version like this in the baked ROMs if it works okay for everyone. Edit: Just to be clear, the attached file is a cut down version of the ORIGINAL t-mobile boot animation. It's not Rem1x's nice new one.bootanimation.zip Edited May 31, 2010 by Stevos
Guest Rem1x Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) Damn it, 400th post was a mispost :( Thanks for all the comments, guys! I'll get on making the other versions some time :( Edited May 31, 2010 by Rem1x
Guest propellerhead Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Hey guys, I like what Rem1x did with the startup screen but I was thinking in a different direction. I don't really like the t-mo pink so I started thinking about re-branding (or de-branding :() the whole phone with colors and forms that really suit the Pulse. So I started with this. Tell me what you think about the idea, and if anybody would like to spend some spare time in modifying the default Pulse theme or even creating a completely new one. Here's my proposal for the boot screen (not animated yet, but if there is interest it's not a problem for me to make animated version) P.S. Can someone tell me if there are some limitations in making the boot screen.
