Install the 3.1 w/ A2SD+ as you normally would.

When you've had the flash complete message, select Power off Device (or something like that, at the bottom of the recovery menu) rather than restart.

Boot back into Recovery (via volume down key and power), connect to PC and run the recovery script for the OS you're using.

Go into Partition SD card and it will ask you for values for SWAP, EXT2 and FAT32.

for SWAP choose 0, for EXT2 choose 512 and for FAT32 - select remainder which is default setting for FAT32.

Then go back a menu (volume down key) and choose Ext2 to Ext3 option (or something like that, can't remember menu word for word).

Then select the restart phone option.

I went from Stock root ROM -> 3.1 /w AP2SD+ so I wiped, not sure if you will have to but I do believe people recommend wiping when installing AP2SD. So backup before hand if you are.

To see if you have it enabled, connect your phone and run:

adb shell ls -l /data
I think there's several adb files in Pauls root archive, so change the adb name to the one for your OS. For example, I think there's an adb-windows file in the Root r5 download, so use 'adb-windows shell ls -l /data'. If you see this within the output:
lrwxrwxrwx root	 root			  2010-05-20 23:00 app-private ->/system/sd/app-private

lrwxrwxrwx root	 root			  2010-05-20 23:00 dalvik-cache ->/system/sd/dalvik-cache

lrwxrwxrwx root	 root			  2010-05-20 22:59 app -> /system/sd/app

i downloaded quick system info and it says that my a2sd storage is 457MB with 363MB.

Is this normal? is there anyway to increase this? i got a 2gb card in the phone :S

I have just flashed my stock root rom to 3.1 with A2SD+ by using fake-flash.

What are the steps to make the A2SD+ work?

I looked through fake-flash menus, couldn't find set values for SWAP, EXT2 & FAT32, etc.

Thanks a lot!

Some similar questions:

I have rooted my Desire using the r6 method and then installed A2SD+.

I would now like to install the MCR 3.1 with A2SD+

1) Will Nandriod backup save all my settings?

2) Will it also save my email settings?

3) I have Titanium Backup (donate) installed. Does this do the same job?

4) Do I need to reformat the SD card again?

I am fairly new to Android having come from WinMo so please be gentle on me!

Many thanks.
