Guest LouiS22 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 OK, I've baked my own ROM using the kitchen. However, there are a some oddities here: After rebooting, a some apps are starts automatically, for example: the stock radio app, the music app, Jbed Java, and some others I don't recall. I have to kill them with Advanced Task Killer. Another strange thing: Stock messaging app is starting automatically, if I start Handcent SMS. As far as I know, removing HTC messaging app is not a good idea. Any ideas?

Its a normal andriod thing.
Guest LouiS22 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Interesting, but one of the apps are eating the battery. Just don't find which one.
Guest Climbatize Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I have some oddities too, like when I choose nexus boot screen there is still the quietly brilliant boot screen.

Your task killer is causing apps to open on their own. http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-usin...r-with-android/

Just needed to install to kill all the starting apps. I'm quite sure that there's a tinx bug in MCR. Maybe the custom kernel? Just a wild guess. But I'm sure this lot of programs at startup wasn't present on the stock ROM.
