Liquid randomly freezing with 2.1

Hello all,

Since yesterday my Liquid will suddenly turn off the screen and freeze, like it just ran out of battery power.

It also happens silently while in standby, meaning you want to tell what time it is, and you find the phone won't wake up.

Happened 2 times in row yesterday while in standby, then one more time while restarting after having pulled out the battery, and then it restarted OK but froze right in the middle of a call.

It went smoothly until I got home with half the battery, and this morning the battery was flat.

I have the Acer leaked 2.1 firmware we all have, and it hasn't given me problems in weeks until yesterday..

I fiddled with the phone and gave it a few shakes while it was on and all was smooth; when the phone freezes you have to pull the battery, hence it is still alive and I think it's not a battery problem or faux-contact...

Any reports?

Which Launcher do you use?

I use LauncherPro with problems. Then i tried ADW Launcher and had 2 freezes in 1 day. Then i switched back to LauncherPro and no problems again.

So it seems that was the problem for me

I don't use any system-modifying apps, launcher or themes. My phone is not rooted.

I only have 10 regular apps installed.

I'm not the type that continuously hacks his phone.

Anyway I remember not being alone, and someone posting about this problem in the 1.100.05 leak thread.

its a network problem set your device to 2g or 3g only this will fix it unil a new bin comes out;)

On 2G since yesterday and no more lockups.
