Unable to save SD card due to insufficient file permissions

When I switch my camera on I get the message 'Unable to save SD card due to insufficient file permissions'

I cant find any settings and the only way I can fix the problem is to turn phone of and back on, but the problem returns within a day or so of use of the phone.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Weird. There are no 'permissions' on FAT32. Can you do:

adb shell

df -h

mount

and post the results of the 'df -h' and 'mount' commands?

Think I did this right? the -h command said '-h: not found' so type only 'df' and got:

Have you tried backing up the files on the sdcard and reformatting it?

Hi

I also had this problem before i rooted the phone and replaced the SD card with a bigger one (16GB).

I did not try to backup and reformat my card. I suggest you try that first.

i got the same problem when i flashed Evil barebone rom, after i flashed back MCR 2, sd works fine

Looks like this problem may be down to a bug or faulty sd card supplied with phone, found this article on HTC evo 4G with a similar problem.

I think I have found another hassle-free solution. At least it has worked for me after having replaced the original sd card by a new (bigger) card.
