Desire PREROOTED 1.20 Asia Taiwan ROM

I've combined Paul's rootedupdate.zip (thanks Paul!) and a stock dump.tar from my Taiwan Desire when it was prerooted. The cool thing about this rom is that HTC_CIME + multitouch WORKS!!!

Guys feel free to flash/play/dissect it. Perhaps we can figure out why the CIME works as intended (for future custom releases).

I've tried to keep it as stock as possible, except with the addition of superuser.apk and getting rid of that boot sound.

The kernel, I think, is the same as the one inside the rootedupdate.zip

For those that have phones outside Taiwan and would like to flash this rom, you might have to play around with the /system/customize folder.

To install, first copy the rom into your sdcard (or you can use USB-MS toggle in the green recovery menu later to copy the rom), then complete step1 of the rooting process.

Instead of running step2, run the recovery script instead and do the wipe, then flash from sdcard.

That's why i need to make a HK CHT ver....coz all here rooted are WWE only, even they have the latest ver but i still want in native CHT ver.

Btw only native HK ver can detect HK carrier's APN name automatically.

So far, i am using it without issue, i will upload it tonight.

suspect that htc_cime does not handle onTouchEvent properly.

when keyboard is not shown, cime should not consume multitouch events.

HTC rom with Chinese handwriting uses a different ime framework to those in EU roms.

In EU roms, you can multitouch english keyboards to type faster..

By the way, I have the latest mod-ed penpower handwriting ime from acer liquid, is it ok(legal?) to post here?

So I am from HongKong and basically all I ask for is the smart dialer which can search thru pinyin for contact in asia rom....

I wonder what sort of zip i would have to upload to the kitchen to implement this in Paul's rom? Does anyone know?
