I am running the Hungarian 2.1

I updated the big file, tried to update the second one by putting it in a "dload" folder on the sd but it failed

Nevermind, Anyway I want to go onto Paul's Modded rom now so I start reading through his specification

Says I need a customer recovery image, Ok, I know what one of them is so I read that thread.

It says I need to install quick boot to get into recovery mode,

But I need root access for that, I don't have root access anymore

How do I get root now?

totally confused any help appreciated.

You don't need root access so you can Install AmonRa recovery image...just do it as it says on that post

1/ You dont need root to get recovery. See the wiki on how to flash it from fastboot mode.

2/ If you still want root you have to download the .zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828 and then flash it in recovery mode.
