all MMS received are max 49kb

Anyone else having problems with all the MMS they receiving being scaled to 49kb or smaller?

Using Telstra in Australia and every MMS I receive on my desire is limited to 49k.

Have tried using handcent with the user-agent set to something else to retreive the MMS (I think it only affects send though?) thinking its a problem with the messaging centre profiles but hasn't made any difference.

All my maximum MMS settings are set to either max 300kb or unlimited.

Tried ChompSMS, Handcent and the stock messaging app but they all do the same, chompSMS seems worse than the other two with sent MMS leaving at about 2kb in size. Didn't have any problems on this plan using an iPhone.
