Guest bgmrk Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Since we have the kernel source now (this is what my understanding is) can we FINALLY have wireless tethering for the liquid? It is my understanding that this was the only reason we couldn't before. I'm aware it's coming out in 2.2 but that may still be a while off for the liquid. Any word on anyone working on this?

How do you use your Ipad? Edited June 3, 2010 by maddin91

How do you use your Ipad? It's an awesome travel companion. Used it on a 6+ hour flight to ireland, way lighter then a laptop, and the battery lasts FOREVER on it. It's also handy when you have hang overs and just want to veg all day. Other then that, it's certainly not replacing a laptop any time soon. EDIT: Tried it, the site says it has been tested on the Liquid 1.6, perhaps 2.1 breaks it....i get the same error as above: "Failed to connect to supplicant: no such file or directory" Edited June 3, 2010 by bgmrk

Guest shogdo Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Do you mean use the Liquid as a 3g modem for you computer? If you use Windows, you can install the Acer USB driver, your Liquid will appear as a modem to Windows. Then you just use dial up network. Not sure if you are using Windows thought.

As I said above, this is for my iPad. So it's gotta be wireless.
