Alarm Clock Stopped Ringing

I use the stock Alarm/Clock HTC application as my main wake up alarm clock on the HTC Desire. However I have found that reliability has been shabby to say the least. Some mornings it will go off and others, such as this morning, it will not ring at all.

Would anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening and how I could fix it?

Are you using a task killer?

I had the same problem with my Hero, and I think it had to do with the task killer.

I think some things are related to the clock maybe. But I'm not sure at all :(

This happened on my Hero, I just unticked the "Clock" in task killer so it left it alone.

I used a Task Killer until a few weeks ago. I do however use a Startup Cleaner, though the only things I have it applied to are Titanium Backip, Twidroid, GMaps, BBC News and Docs to Go.

Make sure the clock app is running, or the alarm won't work.

Do you use the original lockscreen? I read about issues with vanilla lockscreens and the alarm function.

Uninstall Task Killers/Startup Cleaners. You shouldn't be messing around with that sort of stuff.

I had issues with my alarm also... I have installed the Klaxxon alarm instead. That works like a charm :(

Thanks Chris! This is why I've been getting up late for work! :(

Hi

I also had problems once, not the exact same problem tho;

I had selected music from my SD card as wakeup sound and overslept with one hour.

I noticed the alarm had gone off according to the display notification, but soon noticed my SD card was not accessible and i got "warning" of insufficient rights to access the card.

All was ok after reboot, but I encountered the same problem a few days later while playing music.

I replaced the card and rooted the the phone.. no problem since :(

Best regards

I have this problem the same. Yes, advanced tas manager can turn off the alarm, but I found, that problem is from next one task manager I have - automated task manager. After I uninstall this, now alarm working as well.
