HTC Desire Noobie

Hi I've just ordered, yet to receive a HTC Desire.

This will be my first 'Smart' phone as i've upgraded from a very out of date sony.

I have ordered a case, protective screens car chager etc,

What i would relly like to know is what useful apps should i be looking to get?

With work i travel a lot around the country (uk) and sometimes into Europe, so a good sat nav would be handy, also being able to what films would be cool.

Its coming with a 8gb card would buying a 16gb card be better?

Any tips etc anyone is willing to share would great :(

Google Maps has Sat-Nav built in (although it uses mobile data so could be costly to use in Europe), you will need to update it through the market first though.

I haven't actually watched any films on mine yet, so I can't help you there mate.

Copilot live is another good nav program :( And it installs the map's on the sd card zo no data needed :(

About the size of your card. It just depends on how much music and or movie's you're going to put on it :o Because the applications are installed on the internal memory

I hope you bought an official or at least decent car charger. Some of them don't output enough power so you can put it on charge while using sat nav and it will still die lol.
