[SOLVED]Qwertz keyboard

Hello to all.

I'm pretty new on this forum and I know how painfull can be helping out noobies as I was an admin and a co-admin of some Slovenian forums.

So here's the problem. I live in Slovenia and here we have QWERTZ keyboards.

My phone came with locale settings like Estonia, Lithuania, Czech rep, Slovakia and no clue of Slovenia.

I have now set English (Lithuania) which is very odd.

My question is what can I do to set my locale to Slovenia. If theres no such options I would like to have an international english.

Second thing is for the keyboard. I have searched a lot and found some files to flash but they are not for Desire.

How can I have qwertz?

P. S.: I will soon write a dummys guide for simple hacks. Willl post it when it's done.

EDiT: The solution is to install the modded HTC_IME by Jonasl (search for it on XDA) and set the language in the HTC_IME mod options to German!

Yeah i know for this app, but doesnt help with the keyboard layout.

Installed More Locale 2 for now. Is there really no rom with Balkans locales?

Germany also uses QWERTZ keyboards.

You could maybe try setting it to German?

Now i have qwertz, but my phone language is german.

Not that I don't understand it, but would like english better.

Sorry, I can't help, I don't know if you can extract a keyboard and use it while set to a different language?

Don't know if it will work on 2.1 as I am using 2.2, but when I go to settins ==> Language and keyboard settings, I've got the "select language" setting all on top, and underneath it, you've got "android keyboard", if you press that, you see an option "input languages". You can change your keyboad language there :(

Sadly there's no such option on 2.1.

Under android keyboard i have only auto capitalization and auto text or smthn...

I'm on 2.1 but I do have that option, however it is under the "Touch Input" selection, not "Android Keyboard". From this submenu I can change the input language of the keyboard ignoring the userinterface language.

I am using MCR3, but I currently have not installed Jonas' modified IME, so I assume this should be as stock for the Desire.

In the touch input options I have only Polish, Lithuanian some by me indecifrable and English.

I solved the problem by using the modded HTC_IME by Jonasl and setting the language in German. Works like a charm :)
