I just wondered whether my phone will work in canada with the orange sim. and if i decide to buy a canadian sim will it work with my HTC Desire? Anyone know please tell me. I remember reading an earlier post about a month ago someone saying it doesn't work can anyone confirm? is there any way around it?
Guest aballads Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Hey, Canada runs the networks on 1900/850 MHz HSPA system for 3G, you will be able to get a GSM/GPRS/EDGE on the 850 and 1900 the Desire in Canada. Enjoy your trip to Canada, it is a lot of! David

Guest toxxico Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 (edited) I'm going to Canada many times a year, mine worked fine without any problem. Dude. What network r u using in Canada? It picks up Rodgers wireless on my phone but unable to connect. When I change my UK orange sim with Rogers wireless sim same problem again. Any clues? Edited July 13, 2010 by toxxico
Guest tatey2457 Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 I visit Canada a few times a year. I found it better to pick up a cheap pay and go virgin phone to use out there, saves on roaming charges too.
