My Desire keeps rebooting

My Desire keeps randomly rebooting, is there anyway I can check what is causing it?

I keep hearing people talk about LogCat, but I have no idea how to use it?

Thanks

Stu

EDIT

Ok I have logcat running now, dumping everything to a txt file. However, it doesn't seem to want to reboot now.

How can I stop logcat running (if it decides not to crash and the file size gets out of control!!!! :( )

Ok, I have noticed another problem that I am having, if I go to the Photos app, and view a pic I have taken with the camera, it displays for about a second and then goes back to the main Photos menu?

Any ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas?

It doesn't seem to be restarting so much, but the photos problem is driving me nuts.

Might be good if you described what you were doing at the time to cause the boot loops. Logcat should not of caused it, I have used it fine loads of times.

Include everything you can then we may have something to go on... :(

and both are possible! :(

It's not logcat I think is causing it. I wanted to run logcat to see if I could figure out what was causing it.

It hasn't done it today though.

However, I am still having a problem with my photo app, when I go to all photos, and press on a photo, it will do the initial load and zoom, then bounce back to the photos menu.

Anyone having similar problems and any ideas how to fix?

Thanks

Stu

I had a similar problem. It could be due to the phone running out of RAM on start up.

I suggest you flash your ROM with one of the custom ones Paul provides and see if that fixes the problem.

I am running mcr r3 at the mo anyway.

Might try doing a fresh one though.
