Guest binary_digit_2002 Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I have already rooted my HTC Desire and have APP2SD on a 4gb Memory Card (Goldcard), I have just purchased a new 16gb card, do I need to turn this into a Goldcard and reinstalled the APP2SD app? Many Thanks A
Guest EddyOS Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Put card in, boot to recovery, set EXT partition as before, reboot phone once complete. Likely to have to re-install your apps though as they're on the old card
Guest borgfather Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 as far as i understood you ONLY need the goldcard to get you phone into accepting a new bootloader as you have successfully rooted your phone the goldcard is no longer needed good luck ! PS if I'm in error please correct me
Guest binary_digit_2002 Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE - Im still having problems (See Below) ============================================ My HTC Desire is rooted, I have a 4gb Goldcard with APP2SD installed (ALL WORKS OK) I have just purchased a new 16gb card, and partitioned it for use with APP2SD (not a Goldcard though), backed up my old card and transferred the files across to the new card, however when I insert it in the phone it just goes into an infinite boot loop. Any ideals what i've done wrong or what i'm missing? If i put the old card back in the phone, it starts up correctly. Thanks Andy

Guest djtosh Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 no the problem is the copying process, i had the exact same issues, in the end i just had to abandon apps and settings and reflash the rom for the new card.
