Guest binary_digit_2002 Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 My HTC Desire is rooted, I have a 4gb Goldcard with APP2SD installed (ALL WORKS OK) I have just purchased a new 16gb card, and partitioned it for use with APP2SD (not a Goldcard though), backed up my old card and transferred the files across to the new card, however when I insert it in the phone it just goes into an infinite boot loop. Any ideals what i've done wrong or what i'm missing? If i put the old card back in the phone, it starts up correctly. Thanks Andy
Guest EddyOS Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Why not just continue the other thread as opposed to starting a new one? Keeps things neater

Thanks Andy what kind of partitioning software did you use? built-in or computer? ext2,3 or 4? providing more information always helps
Guest binary_digit_2002 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I partioned it within the HTC Recovery mode SWAP=0, EXT2=512 the rest FAT32. SD:ext2 to ext3 It just wont boot with the 16gb memory card, ive tried everything.

I found the easiest way to upgrade to a larger card without losing data was to use Acronis True Image (With Plus Pack) - this allows you to clone the entire card whilst resizing the partitions as desired.
