Booting loop with NEW memory card

My HTC Desire is rooted, I have a 4gb Goldcard with APP2SD installed (ALL WORKS OK)

I have just purchased a new 16gb card, and partitioned it for use with APP2SD (not a Goldcard though), backed up my old card and transferred the files across to the new card, however when I insert it in the phone it just goes into an infinite boot loop.

Any ideals what i've done wrong or what i'm missing?

If i put the old card back in the phone, it starts up correctly.

Thanks

Andy

Why not just continue the other thread as opposed to starting a new one? Keeps things neater

what kind of partitioning software did you use? built-in or computer? ext2,3 or 4?

providing more information always helps

I partioned it within the HTC Recovery mode

SWAP=0, EXT2=512 the rest FAT32.

SD:ext2 to ext3

It just wont boot with the 16gb memory card, ive tried everything.

How did you copy the files across? Did you copy the hidden files?

I found the easiest way to upgrade to a larger card without losing data was to use Acronis True Image (With Plus Pack) - this allows you to clone the entire card whilst resizing the partitions as desired.
