Guest Wotix Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Hi guys. I have one question, how to solve set up wizard problem on Huawei U8230? I can't pass set up wizard. Youtube
Guest John Hamelink Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I believe the solution is to wipe your phone before installing the Modified rom (the one you install AFTER you install the HU roms) Sorry if that's confusing, I tried my best! :(

That's how I did it - unfortunately, that's the only way I could get it to install correctly. I believe I did move all /data/ stuff to my SD card with the relevant option in recovery first, before wiping. However, I'm not claiming to be an expert on this, so perhaps I've made a mistake - only giving you my £0.02

I was going to ask which ROM it was you were trying, but I've just followed the link to the video, and see it's the swiss sunrise one. Have you seen if you get the issue with Paul's ROM?

Guest alpha232 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 If you're installing a custom kitchen one make sure and include the normal email client as well as the gmail client otherwise setup won't get past that stage.

I second that, I made the same mistake. Well actually this should be mentioned on the ROM's page at theemail section, or rather it shouldn't even be an option to remove it, since it renders the ROM unusable.
