Can I have just a non-default music player?

Hey all,

Been trying out some alt music players the last month - doubletwist, cubed, and another one I forget the name. It's pretty cool, and they all have some great features that I enjoy, except one thing gets on my nerves.

Once in a while, randomly it seems, the default music player will start playing. Either when I stop the new music player, or disconnect the headphones, or heck today it was when I pressed the power/sleep button!

Is there a way to prevent that, or at worst remove the default music player??

thanks

There is a known bug in some cases that music will start playing automatically when headphones are removed. Have a look over on xda-forums for the fix.

You could just remove the Music.apk from the /system/app folder from an adb shell. Not sure what the side-effects (if any) might be.

Even easier, just download a file manager with root access like ES file explorer, then delete other /system/app folder Music.apk

That's what I did
