Guest SpankyHam Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Man I thought the T-Mobile Ameo I had back in the day was big. You couldn't use that as a phone without looking like a character from Trigger Happy TV. I like the design of it though, shurnk down to normal size it would be pretty sweet.
Guest zerosignull Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 yeah but whos gonna buy it, unless they are happy to never get an os update? huh? They have released an update to the, almost, latest version of Android for our phones? All in all they are doing a bang up job with offering updates.
Guest masterpfa Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) I can see Dom Joly having a field day with this. Too big for a phone, more like a media tablet let's just hope we can get an official ROM release now EDIT: Note to self, read the thread before replying You couldn't use that as a phone without looking like a character from Trigger Happy TV. Guest thisweb Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 yeah but whos gonna buy it, unless they are happy to never get an os update? Quite, and without Froyo 2.2 there'll be no flash, so yet more of pain in the ass for internet use. I hate really hate flash but its everywhere. Companies must realise its a basic necessity for internet plugins.

Yeah I really wish companies would stop announcing new devices without the latest version. We hear all this greatness about Froyo, and we find that almost everything currently announced to be released this year won't run it until the end of the year (by which time it will be out of date.) It kind of explains why the ebay price of a nexus one is £130 more than a desire despite being pretty much the same device. People pay more not to have manufacturer tweaked OS. Android is about commoditising hardware and carriers, and I think over time both will get used to the idea.
Guest McSpoon Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 So is anyone planing to buy the Huawei S7 Android tablet? Expansys are selling it for £299.99 in the UK (although I'm not sure if it's in-stock yet) http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?partner=modaco&i=199911 Personally I could be tempted if it was less than £200 but I wouldn't pay anything more than that for a Huawei product.
Guest not so humble german Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 resistive touchscreen? that sucks.
Guest BigBearMDC Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 resistive touchscreen? that sucks. +1 Cool though...

Huawei notoriously spares with memory, but why, oh, why???
Guest BigBearMDC Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 256MB RAM, pff... Huawei notoriously spares with memory, but why, oh, why??? What the ... what have they been drinking  Calling *this* a tablet is nearly a offense to all the real tablets out there...
