Guest bhry23 Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 hi guys! just joined modaco as i was thinking of rooting my HTC Hero. Been reading through the forums on how to go about the rooting but there is one thing that keeps on coming up in the threads that i don't understand. what is a "radio" and what is it used for? why is it so important in the rooted ROMs? thanks to anyone that could help.
Guest craigcrawford1988 Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Changing the radio firmware can increase performance and stability of 3G/HSDPA/WiFi connections so it can be very useful. However, some have bugs that may increase power consumption, etc. You just have to test out each one and find out which works best for you. You'll probably be able to find one over at XDA.
