Class 6 4GB SD card - Trouble Partitioning

I'm trying to partition this card so I can use A2SD, however when I do partition the card A2SD does not seem to be finding/using the partition.

I look at the card in windows and the partition is there (well I assume it is there since the size has gone down from 3.7gb to 3.1gb) but when i try to install a rom/Nandroid restore it doesn't pick it up.

If I try to "repair SD:ext" or change Ext2 to ext3 it just comes up with an error :(

So does anybody have any idea how I can fix this or check the SD card to see if it's working properly?

Here are the steps I take

1) Nandroid Back up

2) Insert new SD card, Partition -> Swap Size 0mb, Ext2 512mb, Fat32 Remainder

3) USB on -> Transfer nandroid backup

4) Restore

5) End up with no apps on my phone (including market) = A2SD not working

2.1 or 1.5? With 2.1 you can't use an ext3 partition.

it's difficult to check the ext partition from windows...boot up into a linux livecd or usbkey or something...

Don't use A2SD on microSD class2 card. I have FCs on every 2 minutes if i install bigger apps or a lot of apps.

I have been using a 4gb class 2 card since I first got my pulse and has/is fine!

I got this class 6 card free and thought it may speed up A2SD and such, but it's just not working for me :)

Any chance it might be a fake card?
