Guest jucapo Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Hello any Ideas how to Implement the OLD Weather to 2.1 FYI Old weather enabled users to add ANY location they wanted by using the Custom Location Icon Yes, you're right. I missed this future in all existing 2.1 ROMs floating around. Would be nice to get the old weather widget back. AND, btw, I would like to get the OLD calculator back, much nicer and also more functional ...
Guest Bajo76 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Yes, i´m also missing this feature. I think it should be possible?

With weather in 1.5 you could search in map and ad the cietie from map sorry i did not find that when i was using MCR 3.2 i always just selected a city or it did it for my location yes i see what you mean i just restored back to MCR 3.2 and looked at the weather and then back to the official 2.1 and looked at the weather so may be if you have location checked in google at setup it will change the weather city i don't travel much so couldn't say mifran
Guest mifran Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Ok i went to from birmingham to solihull last night about 7 miles away from home and the weather change my current location to solihull so there is no need to put the old version of weather on the 2.1 rom because the weather does auto update to your locality mifran

But only if you change personally (physically) to this location. If you want to see the weather situation from a smaller city or even town and you are sitting in Birmingham, yo can't with the weather application from 2.1. The older 1.5 weather application allows you to set whatever location from google maps and then you can always follow the weather situation there ... BTW, still need help to change the calculator to the older one ...

Cheers Ed to un-install it would be easier to use titanium backup then extract the old weather app from the 3.2rom put it in the root of the your sd card and then install it with linda file manager mifran
