Bluetooth quickly loses connection

I'm trying to connect an i910 to a Garmin Nuvi 765. They will pair and the i910 asks if it can send contacts over, but the connection only lasts about half a second. This occurs with everybody else trying to connect these two devices. I tried installing JETware but it doesn't change anything. I've read a lot about both of these devices and I'm guessing the i910 is at fault, it seems to have a lot of problems with Bluetooth devices other than headsets. The i910 is running WM 6.1.
