Guest hr21 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Hi all, I tried flashing my pulse tonight to the 2.1 android version, get all the way to flashing and it just says to me after formatting system/ copying files - can't symlink /system/xbin failure at line 12 wondering whats happening? cheers.

Did you flash the UPDATA.APP first? Sounds like you tried to flash the MCR or Oscillation ROM without it.

The error only happens when you have run out of space on the system partition. The copying part stops due to running out of space and the script is trying to symlink a non-existent file. I've had the same issue when I made a custom rom a little too big. If you are having the issue with the standard rom from that thread then I can only assume that you haven't changed the partition layout by installing the Hugarian 2.1 rom first. This is a requirement for Pauls rom.

This is a requirement for Pauls rom. ah right, cheers for the help. Is there a direct link to the hungarian 2.1 rom? I am on a r6.1 vanilla revision of 2.1 posted here a week or 2 ago. I made my partition 0, 512, fat32 rest the 2nd time and it worked fine. I just need to get onto a better rom now.
