Guest ialaya99 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Hi. I'm about to buy a B7610 as a replacement for my HTC Touch Pro. However there are a couple of things that are causing me some concern. I was hoping someone here might be able to help me... 1. The issue of low available RAM... Do any of you B761o users find that it "runs out" of Program Memory to the point where the device becomes unresponsive/freezes? If so, how long would it take under moderate usage? 2. Screen visibility in direct sunlight. Does increasing the screen brightness to maximum make it legible in strong sunlight? Thanks a lot for your time.
Guest Klimto Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Well, if you would use a MEGAlite rom made by daskalos, you end up with about 90mb free RAM, which is really enough. You can use a lot of programs at the same time and the device is still very fast. With the stock rom the memory really is too low. If you would put the backlight on when you're outside, the screen is visible in full sunlight. Not the best visibility, but it really is enough :).

I was also using HTC Touch Pro before I decided to replace it with B7610. The user interface on the Touch Pro is much better than the Omnia. Nonetheless, the Omnia has a better screen that is AMOLED and 3.5MM audio jack. And, I won't regret it.

Uhm maybe because you receive an sms and you want to read it? Maybe to check the time? Maybe to see who is calling you?
