Guest neoclassic Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Source: http://www.eurodroid.com/2010/06/report-ht...ope-on-june-18/ According to a news piece on German Android site Androidpit.de today, the extremely long-awaited European HTC Hero Android 2.1 update will start its official roll-out from June 18. The question is, will the Europe update be significantly better, performance-wise, than the recent Asian update? If not, then there's no point in waiting until the effin' 18th! :)

Guest JadeMonkee Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Would the European version add anything more than More Locale2 already does? Note that my "Locale" is English (Australia).
Guest Dr. dre Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Would the European version add anything more than More Locale2 already does? Note that my "Locale" is English (Australia). It would have the News Reader widget in English rather than some other language and couple of other widgets, and there are very few(I think) chances that it has 'Friend Stream' and the widget.

I am hoping that it has the latest radio that works correctly on Orange UK unlocked... :-) Carl.
Guest hpk Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Would the European version add anything more than More Locale2 already does? Note that my "Locale" is English (Australia). MoreLocale2 does localization for certain apps like Market. But Sense is not localized, Settings are not localized, the widgets are still in english, Footsteps and other apps stay in english ... So, for real localization you need a european version ... (I would be glad, if someone proves that I'm wrong) :)
